Ordering, Cancellations & Allergens

Every cake from The Faeries Den Cakery is individually made. These notes explain how enquiries, custom designs, payment discussions and collection arrangements work. The details of your particular order will be agreed with you before it is confirmed.

Enquiries and order confirmation

Sending an enquiry does not automatically reserve a date or create a confirmed order. We will discuss availability, cake size and servings, flavours, decorations, food requirements, timing and price with you. An order is confirmed once we have agreed on the details and any applicable payment requirements with you.

Quotes, deposits and payments

Prices depend on the size, design and individual requirements of each cake. If a deposit or other payment is required, we will tell you the amount, when it is due and the applicable conditions before you pay. Any remaining balance and payment arrangements will be confirmed with your order. Please do not assume that an enquiry alone holds your requested date.

Changes and cancellations

If your plans change, contact us as early as possible. Design changes, date changes or cancellations may be limited once ingredients or decorations have been purchased or work has started. We will discuss what is possible and any reasonable costs or refund arrangements based on your confirmed order and the circumstances. We do not apply a blanket ‘no refunds’ policy. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.

If we are unable to fulfil an agreed order, we will contact you as promptly as possible to discuss the available options and any refund or other remedy you are entitled to.

Collection and delivery

Collection location, date and time will be provided when your order is confirmed. Please make arrangements to collect your cake at the agreed time, transport it securely and follow any storage instructions given to you. Delivery is not automatically included; if delivery is available for your order, its location, timing and any charge will be agreed beforehand.

Allergies, intolerances and dietary needs

Please tell us about food allergies, coeliac disease or other important dietary needs before confirming an order. Our products commonly contain ingredients such as wheat (gluten), egg and milk, and some recipes may contain or come into contact with nuts, soy, sesame or other allergens. We can discuss the ingredients and any available alternatives before accepting an order.

Because ingredients, utensils and preparation areas may be shared, we cannot promise that any cake is free from traces of allergens or gluten unless we have expressly confirmed the suitability of that particular order. If you need strict allergen avoidance, please speak with us before placing an order. Allergen information for a chosen product is available on request.

Colours, decorations and handmade details

Every cake is made by hand, so small differences in colour, placement, decoration and finish are natural. Photos can also look slightly different because of lighting and screen settings. We will discuss important design details with you before confirming the order; agreed essential features will still be honoured.

Care and food safety

We will provide relevant instructions for storing and serving your order. Please follow them, especially for cakes containing perishable fillings or toppings, and contact us if you are unsure about storage or transport.
